How we got here
Three eras, one company.
1965 – 1980
Sidorsky's Furniture.
The company started in 1965 as Sidorsky's Furniture, a Calgary retail business founded by Brian Sidorsky. The stores generated the capital and commercial real estate footprint the next chapter was built on.
1980 – 2017
Mobile home parks.
Through the 1980s and into the 2000s, the Sidorsky companies built and operated mobile home parks across western Canada. Quiet, operational work that taught the family of businesses to underwrite land and think in decades.
1980 – today
Calgary real estate.
Ryan Sidorsky began his real estate journey in 1998 with the purchase of his first investment property, building a residential portfolio that grew from single-family homes and duplexes to other income-producing assets. Over the following decades, that foundation evolved into a diversified real estate business. Following the sale of the mobile home park portfolio in 2017, RYCO Properties expanded its focus to commercial real estate, new community development, and strategic land holdings across southern Alberta. Today, Ryan leads a portfolio that includes long-held commercial centres, residential development projects, and land assets that support future growth.

Brian Sidorsky founded the company in 1965 as Sidorsky's Furniture and has spent six decades building it into the Calgary real estate company it is today. He has guided the business through its furniture-retail beginnings, the mobile home parks it built and operated across western Canada, and the commercial and development portfolio RYCO holds now.
